Welcome to Monkey Music Chelsea and Westminster. You can find my classes in Chelsea SW10 and SW3, Gloucester Road SW7, Knightsbridge SW7 and Belgravia SW1.My name is Jayne Harris and I am the owner of this area. I trained at the Royal Academy of Music as a violinist and have now enjoyed twenty years of professional work spanning across the board from orchestral, numerous West End shows, pop and film sessions to performing electric violin on stage with Lily Savage! My favourite star moment has to be performing with Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick at the Albert Hall as well as "rockin' and groovin' " at Wembley Arena with Elvis Presley's original band. During my career I have been passionate about passing on my knowledge to little children and was inspired when I found out about Monkey Music. A friend of mine took me along with her baby and I was totally amazed! I had always thought that a child's development can be hugely stimulated and progressed at an early age by music, but not as young as 3 months! I was so impressed, I bought my own franchise! My aim for Monkey Music is to bring all my knowledge and connections with other musicians and actors to you and your little monkeys. Whilst I do a considerable amount of the teaching, I do need help! I am delighted that my professional experience has led to meeting a group of girls who all, with our comprehensive training, bring something very special and unique to Monkey Music. Actresses, performers and musicians, Sarah Moyle, Daniele Coombe and Kate Grant all wow the children and mums with their wonderful singing and genuine love and commitment to teaching Monkey Music, giving lots of praise and encouragement through their energetic and inspirational approach. The children love them to bits and we get some amazing feedback. I am delighted to have found a team who compliment my own high standards. All of my teachers keep me on my toes with new ideas and individually have a very loyal following of 'little Monkeys'. This year I received a note which touched my heart from a Mummy which really sums up what we hope to achieve here at Monkey Music. It read: "I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the last 6 years of Monkey Music! All three of my children have passed through your expert hands. Your classes are fantastic; so full of energy and enthusiasm, structured yet fun, perfectly paced, innovatively resourced - just a positive experience from start to finish.
