Welcome to Monkey Music in Cheltenham and Gloucester. My name is Sian Ferris and I joined Monkey Music in April 2002 and run classes in Up Hatherley, Charlton Kings, Churchdown and Bourton-on-the-Water.
There has been a fantastic response to the classes over the years and there are little 'monkeys' springing up all over Gloucestershire. It's so rewarding to see the children come back week after week with such enthusiasm.
So why did I choose Monkey Music? I love the way that every child gains in confidence and starts to enjoy the wonders of music. Since I started the classes the children have gained confidence with the instruments, movement and singing the songs. Also, the parents/carers have found it a great way to socialise and have fun with like-minded people.
I personally have had the pleasure of meeting so many different people and have gained great satisfaction from teaching the children (and their carers!) to enjoy music making in a stimulating and fun environment. One of my mothers is on their fourth child at Monkey Music!
Whilst I do a considerable amount of teaching, I do need help! I am delighted to have two superb teachers - Liane Taylor and Karley Ferris - who have been working for me for over five years. They wow the children and mums with their wonderful singing and encouragement through their energetic and inspirational approach. The children love them to bits and I get some amazing feedback.

Rock'n'roll classes for babies from 3 months
Monkey Music has developed a brand new curriculum in response to huge demand from parents who keep asking 'When can we bring our new little babies to Monkey Music?' Each class is themed around the everyday life of a very young child and engages the babies through gentle songs, fascinating sounds and absorbing activities. The classes are focused around the bond between carer and child and give mums a great way of meeting other mummies, so do come along and join in the fun!

Monkey Music will be holdling "open sessions" at the Play Farm soft play area at The Brewery in Cheltenham on alternate Fridays from 10.30 a.m.
