Hello and welcome to Monkey Music Fulham, Putney and Barnes. My name is Jeni.
I have been a teacher and Music Co-ordinator in primary schools for almost ten years, and have always been passionate about the importance of music in young children's lives. After having my first baby, I was delighted to find Monkey Music - something that combined the two things I like doing best: teaching music in a practical and imaginative way, and being with young children. Both my eldest children have loved Monkey Music and are always a great help when I'm learning all the songs and sorting out my props and instruments! My youngest is now one and, having been a very enthusiastic Rock'n'roller, is now looking forward to moving up to Heigh ho classes!
There are now lots of enthusiastic little monkeys across Putney, Barnes and Fulham, some of whom have been coming to Monkey Music for over two years. It is so lovely to welcome lots of new brothers and sisters too!
I am thrilled to have some very talented and inspiring teachers. Sarah and Nadia are trained musical theatre actresses, Lorna and Kate are singer/songwriters, Alice is a classically trained violinist and Renee and Katie are dancers and dance teachers. They have boundless energy and enthusiasm and adore babies and young children. They work really hard to make every class a wonderful musical adventure.

News

I am delighted to announce that I am opening new Ding dong classes in Putney and Fulham. The Ding dong classes are for 3 and 4 year olds. The children start playing written rhythm patterns and learn about the instruments of the orchestra. It is fantastic preparation for learning a musical instrument, and lots of fun too!
We will be busy in our other classes too! Everyone will be discovering and exploring lots of magical new sounds, while enjoying a special time with their grown-ups. There is lots going on, so do come along and join in the fun!
A big thank you to all our regular little monkeys and their enthusiastic carers - it is so lovely to hear the wonderful feedback we get from you! Monkey has loved meeting all the new little brothers and sisters who joined Monkey Music this last term and is looking forward to meeting lots of new friends this term!
