Hello, I’m Bronwen Jones and run Monkey Music in Wimbledon and Merton Park.My life has been filled with music. I was brought up in a family of professional musicians and I teach the violin and flute. I love to perform and have been fortunate enough to sing with Peter Skellern and Barry Manilow. I have a passion for 'jitterbugging' and have danced in a troupe called the ‘Sugarfoot Stompers’, touring with many leading bands. I even performed at 39 weeks pregnant! This certainly stood me in good stead for teaching Monkey Music. In between all this I have three children (6, 8 and 11 years) all of whom have been 'little monkeys' at some time or other! My chiIdren adore Monkey Music and our lives have been dominated by pink monkeys ever since their first class. I love teaching and believe interaction between the teacher and child is very important. I find it remarkable when a shy child loses their inhibitions and claps, stamps and jumps to the beat, and very moving when a toddler calls for more time when it is time to 'wave goodbye'.
