Monkey Chatter

It’s been a very busy first two weeks here since the launch of Monkey Music in Bath!

First, we had our week of Open Days, in which the smallest session we ran had 13 people. We limit our classes to 15 normally, but at St Luke’s Wellsway, we had 20 come along for one of the classes, which made for a great atmosphere, and our lovely new teacher, Sadie, coped admirably.

Then last week, we had our week of free classes for the different age groups – Rock’n’Roll, Heigh-Ho and Jiggety-Jig. Well, that was the idea, until the Beast From The East decided to meet Storm Emma and chose the West Country for the rendezvous! We soldiered on with our classes at Walcot Methodist Church on Thursday but, understandably, many people couldn’t make it – so they are all now booked in for tomorrow (Thursday 8 March) instead. Those who did make it through the snow, though, seemed to have a great time - less Spirit of the Blitz and more Spirit of the Blizzard! We are very happy that lots of the children will be coming along for the rest of the term.

Unfortunately, we then had to postpone our morning of free classes at St Luke’s Wellsway the following day, which are now taking place this Friday, 9 March. A forecast of cloudy skies and a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius sounds a little less daunting...

We have also made the decision to waive the Monkey Music membership fee for the rest of this term, so that customers only pay for the classes.

We are then offering FREE membership (a saving of £17) for anyone who continues with classes after Easter, or who joins at the start of next term. Every child will receive a welcome pack, which includes a T-shirt, CD of Monkey Music songs, stickers and things to colour in, as well as automatic membership of the online Little Monkey Club, which features songs, videos, words to songs, fun things to do, and offers from the likes of JoJo Mama Bebe (15% discount).

There is still time to book up a complimentary class before the end of this term, which ends the day before Good Friday, with the new term starting on Monday 16 April.
