 The end of March, Spring has Sprung (albeit rather coldly), the trees are full of beautiful blossoms and our January to March season of 2022 is at an end.

We’ve absolutely loved sharing our Happy Musical Mornings with our friends all over Kingston, Surbiton, Thames Ditton and Long Ditton as well as introducing new families to the wonders of music in our Music and Your Baby sessions at JoJo Maman Bébé and Rose Theatre, Kingston.

We can't wait to come back to everyone from Tuesday 19 April - there is loads of Summer Fun planned for children from 3 months to 4 years.

We have two mornings of Easter Workshops scheduled on 12 April in Surbiton and 13 April in Thames Ditton and you can book via our website here (just scroll down to the WORKSHOPS tab).

If you can’t make the workshops however, here are a few fun ideas for things you can do at home with your family and friends to keep your little ones entertained until we can meet again:

 

• Keep playing Peek-A-Boo to make them giggle and to remind them that even when they can’t see things, they are still there. (Very handy if you are trying to leave the room to make a cup of tea).

 

• Visit our shop here and download some of Monkey’s songs – clap, sing and play along.

 

• Find something to shake and something to pat, put on your favourite music and have a family disco.  (Or, see the shop link above?  We have a GORGEOUS collection of instruments that you can buy!).

 

• Practise making animal sounds to help speech development.

 

• If you are one of our members (everyone who comes to regular classes becomes a member!), log into your account with The Monkey Music Club to see Family Time videos, competitions, activities and discounts with our lovely partner organisations such as JoJo Maman Bébé, Puppets By Post and CarFit.

 

• Older children can clap the rhythm of their name, your name, your pets name, things you see.

 

• Show your littlest babies interesting, colourful things, fascinating sounds and fun toys to encourage them to follow them with their eyes and reach out with their hands.

 

• Play some relaxing music, turn out the lights, put on some fairy lights and have a cuddle.
