Monkey Chatter

Well, where has the Summer gone?  It seems like just five minutes ago that we were at the beginning of 6 weeks with no Monkey Music Classes and now we are just a few days away from Monday 6 September when we re-open.

Regular customers are all booked into their class of choice and there are still some spaces for anyone who is new to our Monkey Music world and would like to come and give us a try.

We are hugely excited to be launching our Ding-Dong course in three venues (check the timetable for days and times). 

Ding-Dong is our Advanced Level for 3 and 4 year olds and it's absolutely brilliant.  We learn about orchestral instruments and get the chance to meet some real ones - violins, flutes, clarinets, drums and trombones!  We learn about looking at musical directions written down - symbols that tell us which instrument to play and how to play our rhythms.  We talk about how music makes us feel and we spend more time practising our listening skills, joining in confidence and of course, having oodles of fun.

The wonderful Mary Wilson who some of you will know from 2019 and some years before returns to our Thursday sessions at Surbiton Hill Methodist Church.  Mary is really looking forward to sharing her beautiful singing voice, her impressive musicianship and the magical way she has of engaging children of all ages with you all.

Monday Kingston Quaker Centre and Tuesday St Mark's Church Hall, Surbiton families will be delighted to know that the fabulous Hannah Evers is returning to teach them and we are delighted to announce that she will be hosting a Brand New Thursday morning at Swinnerton Hall, Kingston.

The news doesn't stop.....

Introducing *drum roll* our new teacher, Marcia Sommerford.  Marcia is a professional vocalist with the 1940s group, The Victory Sisters and will be singing and playing with families at The Rose Theatre in Kingston on Wednesday mornings.

Karen Ross will be returning to St Mary's in Long Ditton on Tuesdays and St Nicholas Church Hall in Thames Ditton.

We've checked our lesson plans, the kit is being packed up, Monkey is raring to go and we are looking forward to seeing you all.
