I grew up in a home full of music where there was a song for every occasion and this brought so much joy to my childhood. When my baby daughter Sanna was 4 months old I wanted to find a class for her that had an appreciation and love of music and Monkey Music did just that. Two years later my youngest daughter Lila also joined the fun. Being a new Mum can bring its challenges but having Monkey Music classes to look forward to every week really helped build my confidence and it was a great environment to meet new Mums.

Monkey Music has hundreds of original songs and musical activities which can be used in daily life. Putting music at the heart of every family it is the perfect baby class and toddler class. My love of attending Monkey Music progressed to me running my own Monkey Music franchise. We run  classes in Bishop's Stortford (CM22, CM23),  Little Hadham (SG11), Sawbridgeworth (CM21), Hertford (SG14) Ware (SG12) and Welwyn Garden City (AL8). You can see our timetable below for our baby classes and toddler classes  and to book your first FREE class. Following your first class you will be invited to book your spot at our regular weekly classes where you and your little one will learn together each week with children of a similar age. You can choose to pay for your booking on a monthly basis and we also offer catch up classes as we know life with a little one can be unpredictable.

Our classes:

Beautiful Noise is a 5 week programme for parents or carers with newborn babies up to 16 weeks old. Making sense of a Baby's world through sound. A mix of in-person classes and pre-recorded sessions plus a kit bag containing musical instruments and a sensory scarf to use at home.

Rock'n'Roll classes is our baby class for babies from 3 months old and are a gentle start to making music with your babies. Introducing simple pulsing rhythms and helping your little ones develop through tracking sounds, exploring instruments, listening to familiar songs and exploring our exciting sensory props.

Heigh-Ho classes are tailored for 12 months to 2 years toddlers. At this stage, as your child’s confidence grows, they love moving about and discovering the world around them. These classes are action-packed with original songs as well as well-known nursery rhymes, sensory props such as parachutes and of course bubbles! The children are encouraged to play the instruments, move to the music and play peekaboo. Recognising the familiar tunes and actions week after week.

Jiggety-Jig classes are for children aged 2 to 3 years old. This really is a fun-filled class for everyone, building on all they have learnt in the curriculum so far and developing their social skills, listening and sharing. Encouraging the children’s concentration in musical activities the children will learn musical skills such as tempo, rhythm and pitch.
