The Benefits of taking your baby to a baby class

For many new parents, the thought of taking their bundle of joy to a baby class can be nerve-wracking and daunting. Worrying if your baby will enjoy the class, how you’ll know what to do, if the other parents will be welcoming etc, etc are all very normal concerns, but there are so many reasons why enrolling your baby or toddler in a class will benefit both you and your little one. Here are just a few:

Introduces a routine

Taking your baby or toddler to a class is a great way to introduce a routine into your day/week and can help motivate you to leave the house (which can often feel like such a struggle for new parents)

Meet new people and make new friends

At Monkey Music, many lifelong friendships have been established in our classes between parents and children. Although it might seem daunting to walk into a room full of strangers, take comfort from the knowledge that the other adults there will undoubtedly have experienced similar concerns as you when they first started but babies make it very easy to start a conversation with other new parents. The class leader will also be there to welcome and reassure you.

Share precious time together

Busy lives and so many distractions can make it hard to fully focus on your baby at home. Going to a regular weekly baby class will allow you time to completely focus on your baby or toddler and share precious time together in a nurturing environment and create some wonderful memories to look back on in the future.

At Monkey Music we’re here to support you and your little one throughout your musical journey.  Our teachers are fully trained to deliver our curriculum and many of them are professional musicians and teachers as well as being parents themselves. So why not join us at Monkey Music and take that first step in nurturing a lifetime of music and learning for your baby or toddler.

Classes run in Harpenden on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays and in St Albans on Mondays & Wednesdays.
