Monkey Music Amersham, Beaconsfield & the Chalfonts has been running now for around 19 years.  Monkey Music classes run on an award-winning curriculum built upon baby and child development, supporting all aspects – physical, linguistic, social and musical development. The curriculum is split into four different stages; Rock ‘n’ Roll music classes for babies from 3 months, Heigh-Ho music classes for toddlers around 12 months, Jiggety Jig music classes from around 2 years and Ding Dong music classes for pre-schoolers. The lessons are tailored to the age and specific needs of that group to help them develop and grow in confidence. We have over 300 original and traditional songs along with musical and activity games to provide a structured environment in our lessons that help little ones develop at the right pace for them and at the appropriate developmental stage. 

Within our purposefully small sized classes we use real instruments, specifically sourced to be safe for children to use and to provide an opportunity for them to develop and be stimulated, along with high-quality, age-relevant resources and props. Our specially trained teachers are talented musicians and have a love for babies and children, and we can’t wait for you to meet them. Sarah is a teacher, with over 20 years experience working with children. She is a singer, who has 2 children, both of whom have come to Monkey Music, giving Sarah a total of 7 years of Monkey Music class experience, and that's before she became a teacher! 

And then there’s me. My name is also Claire. I have lived in Amersham for over 14 years and am a former ‘Monkey Music mum’, having taken my 2 children to classes in Amersham from when they were a few months old. I remember watching their faces as they followed a new sound around the room, and how they loved playing the instruments, from as little as a few months old! I grew up playing the piano & clarinet & have a love of music, so Monkey Music provided an opportunity for me then to share this with my children and for them to experience the power of music. Now that they have grown, I am excited to be able to share these baby and toddler music classes with you & your little ones and continue to be able to share my love of music.
