Hello, my name is Mel and I’m so excited to be offering the Monkey Music experience in Potters Bar & Enfield and surrounding areas! Keep an eye out on venue updates as we will be adding venues in the future. Our age specific weekly classes for children aged 3 months-4 years have been specially and carefully written and created for families to learn together through music while sharing quality time together and making special memories. Our classes are perfect for parents/carers and your children to make lifelong friends. All our Monkey Music teachers are specially trained and offer a supportive environment that is equally rewarding for both the little ones and grown-ups.
Read more...My Monkey Music journey started when my baby girl was just 4 months. The first day, in our complimentary Rock’n’Roll class, I knew that this was going to be a journey for us until the end. Her growth and development in these classes blew me away. She is now nearly 3 and we still attend Monkey Music in Jiggety-Jig. Knowing that she has one more class left (Ding-Dong) until she graduates Monkey Music upset me so I decided to start my own Monkey Music journey and hopefully give families and children the same amazing experience we had together.
Our amazing classes will be coming soon in Potters Bar, Furzefield Leisure Centre, EN6 3BW and Cuffley Hall, Cuffley EN6 4JA. You can see our timetable below for more details and to book your first complimentary class. Following on from your first complimentary class you will be sent an email with a link to invite you to book your spot at our small regular weekly class where you and your little one will share precious moments together, learning and having fun. Our booking is paid on a monthly basis and we also offer catch-up classes (subject to availability), as we know life with a little one can be unpredictable.
Monkey Music is a good fit for children from newborn to 4 years old. We offer children and their parents or carers a safe and creative space to learn through different musical experiences. Our age-specific classes have been created with your child’s development in mind and we use our own original and catchy Monkey Music songs to support all aspects of development, including language development, physical development and social and emotional development.
Rock‘n’Roll – weekly baby classes for parents and carers with babies from 3 – 12 months. This is our first stage of weekly classes and we focus on gentle songs and fascinating sounds. Our little ones learn and develop through our magical sounds and the sound of your voice. Each class is led by a specially trained Monkey Music teacher who will engage you and your baby as you bond together.
Heigh-Ho – weekly toddler classes for parents and carers with toddlers from 12 months. The second stage of our Monkey Music classes with our little ones up on their feet being musical explorers! Our catchy songs and simple dances keep our toddlers entertained whilst they make music and have fun together. Repetition and ‘having a go’ are key at this stage and our toddlers love playing their instruments whilst dancing and singing along to their favourite Monkey Music songs, especially when they are trying to find where Monkey is Hiding!
Jiggety-Jig – weekly classes for parents and carers with toddlers who are 2 and 3 years old. In this third stage of our Monkey Music classes the children are beginning to interact more with each other whilst making friends. They still enjoy singing and dancing but are now also very confident playing their instruments in the Monkey Music Band. They learn how to make music as part of a group and how to compose their own music using their favourite sounds.
Ding-Dong – weekly classes for children aged 3 and 4 with their parents and carers. In our fourth and final stage of regular weekly classes, our little ones are ready to learn to read music! They understand what they hear and now it is time to learn what sounds and music looks like written down. We introduce this in a clever and simple way using some of the Kodaly method which Monkey has adapted to fit with his favourite songs and musical activities! During these classes, our children take the lead from their parents or carers who enjoy watching their children grow in confidence through singing solos and having fun making Monkey Music together!
Book your first FREE class now. We look forward to sharing precious time with you and your family at a venue nearby very soon!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for giving L so much joy during this extremely challenging time. It's so lovely to see how much you have brought out her love of music and confidence to sing and join in.

Monkey Music holiday workshops are a popular way to keep children entertained during the holidays. Unlike our regular classes where children are strictly grouped according to age, the holiday workshops cater for a mixed age group of children.
