What an amazing couple of weeks we've had since resuming classes after half term. Our younger students (or more accurately their grown-ups!) have been quacking our heads off with our six little ducks whilst enjoying the fun sound of the duck call - this was definitely helped by the added breeze created with our blue lycra pond. Our older students were enjoying some crazy dancing with hoops in Jiggety Jig and showing off their amazing drumming and rhythm skills during our Time to Play songs.
A highlight for me however has to be the picture that I was given by a student! I've only been teaching for 8 weeks now so it was really lovely to receive such a special gift! Thank you!!
I also did my first event at Oaklands School in Loughton last weekend. The event was really good fun with loads of activities for the kids to do and it was lovely to see some of our Monkey Music families come along to say hello. Despite the heat we had a really fun day pulling out some old favourites such as Humpty Dumpty, Wheels on the Bus and Old MacDonald as well as our unique Monkey Music songs! Plus there was also lots of engagement with our "Guess Monkey's Birthday" competition! A Monkey will be winging its way to our lucky winner very soon!
Next week we continue with our Summer Term themes of House and Garden for our Jiggety Jiggers and Summertime for the other 3 classes. Who will Monkey bring with him to play....?? If you want to find out there is still time to book your first complimentary class. We hope to see you soon!
