We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mitra to the Monkey Music family!

Mitra brings a wonderful blend of creativity, musical expertise and real warmth to her teaching. She is a professional singer and actress with over 20 years’ experience in creative arts. Many of you may also be pleased to hear that Mitra has previously worked as a Monkey Music Teacher, delivering our award-winning music classes to babies and toddlers across South London.

With a BA in Performing Arts and a lifelong love of music and performance, Mitra has spent her career singing, recording and performing across film, television and live projects. Alongside her creative work, she is also a parent and has a deep understanding of how music supports children’s communication, confidence and development from the very earliest age.

Mitra is passionate about creating inclusive, joyful classes where children (and grown-ups!) feel supported, encouraged and free to have fun while learning through music.

Mitra will be teaching Monkey Music classes at the following venues:

• Mondays & Fridays – Venue 28, Beckenham,  BR3

• Tuesdays – Shirley Park Golf Club, Addiscombe CR0

• Thursdays – Waddon Leisure Centre, Purley Way, Croydon CR0

To celebrate Mitra joining the team, we are running FREE open day classes at each venue:

• Monday 5th January 2026 – Venue 28, Beckenham

• Tuesday 6th January 2026 – Shirley Park Golf Club

• Thursday 8th January 2026 – Waddon Leisure Centre

These sessions are a great opportunity to meet Mitra, experience a Monkey Music class and see just how much fun learning through music can be.  The open day classes are completely free, but spaces are limited, so advance booking is essential.  Please book your place by visiting the Events tab on our webpage.

Mitra’s regular weekly Monkey Music classes will begin the following week, starting on Monday 12th January 2026.  Classes will run weekly at the same venues and on the same days listed above. Booking ahead is recommended to secure your place.
