Hello Monkey Music families!
We’re so excited to welcome your little ones to our Ding-Dong classes, specially created for 3 and 4-year-olds who are ready to take the next big leap in their musical adventure!
Whether your child is new to Monkey Music or moving up from our Jiggety-Jig classes, Ding-Dong is our final stage of weekly classes, and it’s full of magical musical milestones.
What makes Ding-Dong so special?
At this age, your child is now ready to begin reading music! In a gentle, age-appropriate way, we introduce musical notation through clever games and singing activities. We use elements of the Kodály method, specially adapted by Monkey Music, to help little ones connect the music they hear with what it looks like on the page.
📝 They start to recognise rhythm patterns
🎶 They sing solos and build confidence in performance
🧠 They develop musical memory and focus
🎻 And yes — they even get hands-on with real musical instruments!
This week in class, we brought in a violin – the children were fascinated! They got to listen up close, ask questions, and even have a gentle try.
What to expect in each class
Each 30-minute session includes:
✅ Musical games and group singing
✅ Movement and imaginative play
✅ Singing and rhythm activities
✅ Real instrument discovery
✅ Parent and carer participation
While your child takes the lead musically, you’ll enjoy watching their confidence grow, joining in to support them as they explore music on a deeper level.
