Hi, I'm Sally and I run Monkey Music in Maidenhead and Windsor. We're excited to say that CLASSES IN OLD WINDSOR are back from 1st June! We also have classes at WOODLANDS PARK VILLAGE CENTRE, near White Waltham on Wednesdays. Your first class is free! Our fun, interactive, educational structured classes involve songs, move to the beat, and play instruments, all whilst developing essential skills through music. See our timetable below to find your age specific class!

Regular, Weekly Classes During Term Time
Following your first complimentary class, once you join our classes, we ask you to commit to attending weekly classes on a regular basis rather than drop-ins. This provides a regular and consistent routine for your little one, where they build on what they have learnt each week. It enables us to run relatively small classes so that your child can get personal attention from their teacher to support their development. If you miss a class for any reason, you can book on for a catch up on another day and time that suits you. We also now offer the option to pay monthly for your classes to help spread the cost.
Our Classes
Monkey Music runs a progressive curriculum in 5 different age categories so are built specifically for a baby or child’s development needs at that stage of their life. Most importantly, they are great fun for both you and your child! There are lots of opportunities for bonding with your little one as well as singing, movement and playing instruments. The curriculum has been developed with experts in education and child pschology, and the songs we sing are a combination of original pieces written by the team at Monkey Music, alongside well known nursery rhymes. If you're anything like me, you'll learn to love the Monkey Music songs and look forward to singing them with your little ones every week.
Beautiful Noise for Newborn Babies up to 16 Weeks
Our brand new programme for newborn babies is an amazing, gentle class to help your babies start to make sense of the world through the magic of sound. Hearing is their super power and we use an amazing array of wonderful instruments to captivate their senses. It's a lovely way for new parents to meet other new families and start your Monkey Music journey together!
Rock'n'Roll For Babies aged 3 - 12 months
In our first stage of classes we focus on gentle songs and fascinating sounds, introducing simple rhythms and helping your little ones develop through tracking sounds, exploring instruments, and feeling the beat of the music, listening to familiar songs and most importantly your voice!
Heigh-Ho for Toddlers aged 12 - 24 months
In our second stage, when your little ones are moving all over the place and exploring, we introduce catchy songs and upbeat tunes to keep them engaged! Your little ones are really enjoying making their own music and love recognising the familiar tunes and actions. Repetition is key to development and toddlers love dancing along to our weekly class song!
Jiggety-Jig for Toddlers aged 2 & 3
In Jiggety-Jig, our little ones are enjoying interacting with the other children in the class. As well as having lots of fun dancing to their favourite Monkey Music songs, and singing along, we introduce the fundamentals of a strong musical foundation, such as listening to each other, waiting their turn, and even composing their own masterpieces! There's much fun to be had with many props too!
Ding-Dong for 3 & 4 year olds
In our fourth and final stage of Monkey Music, our little ones are ready to start to learn to read music! We introduce this in a clever and simple way with the Kodaly method which uses visual aids to help introduce the concept of translating symbols into musical notes or direction. Our little ones start to compose their own rhythms and are also encouraged and supported to sing solos in class if they are comfortable to do so!
More About Me and the Team!
After loving taking my own daughters to Monkey Music, it's so wonderful to be able to bring the magic to you!
I have always been passionate about music and singing so I was keen to take my two daughters to Monkey Music when they were babies. It quickly became the highlight of our week so I jumped at the chance to launch a franchise and bring the joy of the classes to my local area! Both of my children have attended the entire curriculum, and it’s been amazing to see how music plays a role in all aspects of their development; social, language and physical. Even though they're both at school now, they still love all the songs and I often hear them singing them at home!
I have sung in various choirs for most of my life including the City of London Choir, and perform in amateur musical productions, having recently played Jane in The Witches of Eastwick, Roz in 9-5, the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and Mother Superior in Sister Act. This, combined with a keen interest in child development makes being a Monkey Music teacher a dream career!
I currently run the Tuesday classes in Cox Green.
Rowan has a background in teaching, as well as performing and absolutely loves teaching little ones! She runs the classes at Dawkes Music in Maidenhead on a Monday, Woodlands Park on a Wednesday, Maidenhead Community Centre on a Thursday and All Saints Dedworth, Windsor on a Friday.
Emily attended Monkey Music as a baby herself back in the early 2000s in Cheltenham so this is going full circle for her now she is teaching! She'll be teaching in Old Windsor on Mondays.
We'd love to welcome you to join us so book a complimentary class today and come and see why families keep coming back to Monkey Music!

Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into planning every session and the enthusiasm you always deliver it with. We all love Mondays because of you and H often bursts into Monkey Music songs!
We’ve really enjoyed Sally’s Monkey Music sessions! The personal touch of singing to our babies by name makes them really special and we love the variety of musical instruments.
I've taken my baby to many classes during maternity leave and this is by far my favourite, I recommend it to everyone!
I love how calm, structured and fun Monkey Music classes are! We love all the singing and themes that support my little one's development.
